HINGHAM, Mass.- When news broke that the Chevy Colorado would be coming back to the United States, truck fans rejoiced. Now with the latest
sneak peek: 2015 Chevrolet Colorado spy shots, we're getting the closest look yet at what the midsize pickup truck may look like. The spotted 2015 Colorado prototype specifically revealed a closer look at the front and rear ends.
Spotted with less camouflage than before, the U.S. prototype appears to have a bolder grille than the current global model, which will aesthetically tie it to the full-size Silverado 1500 and HD models. However, differing from the full-size models are the 2015 Colorado's headlights which aren't the split full-height style. Although the shape of the headlight housing is still disguised, the
2015 Chevrolet Colorado sneak peek spy shots reveal that the prototype's headlights feature round projectors. Compared to the earlier Colorado model, the 2015 edition features a similar cab and bed shape. But around back, the latest spy shots reveal the truck's tailgate which is designed with a small lip at the top.
Under the hood, details have not yet been confirmed. The global Colorado models are powered exclusively by diesel engines, however, the U.S. model could receive a four- or six-cylinder engine, along with the possibility of a turbodiesel four-cylinder. It won't be long until we know for sure since production of the 2015 Chevy Colorado is expected to begin in early 2014!
