2015 Chevrolet Colorado debut! And the new midsize tuck has redefined the midsize segment by combining versatility and capability into a vehicle for customers who don't necessarily need a full-size truck!

2015 Chevrolet Colorado debut, revealed that the truck is about to be the most powerful truck in the midsize segment! For class-leading power, payload, and trailering ratings, customers can select the standard 2.5-liter I-4 engine or optional 3.6-liter V6 engine, both of which will provide the ability to haul and tow more than any other truck it the segment! Not to mention, in the Colorado's second year it will offer the midsize truck segment's first diesel engine, appealing to an even broader range of needs!
The Chevy Colorado's exterior design highlights a confident and athletic stance attractive to American consumers. Configurations include an extended cab model with a 6 ft. bed, crew cab with a 5 ft. bed, or crew cab with a 6 ft. bed which can be combined with three available trim levels: WT, LT, and Z71 in wither 2WD or 4WD. Plus, even the toughest configuration, the Colorado Z71, delivers a quiet ride due to the triple-sealed doors inlaid in the body sides.
However, the new Colorado isn't just the most powerful truck in it's segment! It was also designed with many segment-first characteristics! For example, to keep overall mass down and improve front-to-rear weight balance, Chevrolet designed the Colorado with the segment's first aluminum hood. Further, the active aero grille shutters that close at certain highway speeds to enhance aerodynamics are also a first for the segment.
Inside the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, the best attributes of full-size trucks were combined with those of midsize cars to design an interior that offers functional comfort and connectivity. For example, the sculpted headliner creates more headroom and an open area in the center console allows for convenient phone charging. Storage space isn't limited either with a center console large enough for a tablet, under-seat storage in the rear, upper-instrument panel storage bin, and spacious glove box!
But safety is always one of Chevy's biggest priorities, and the 2015 Colorado was designed with safety in mind! Standard large rearview mirrors and the truck's back up camera paired with the new available segment-first forward collision alert and lane departure warning help to keep drivers aware of their surroundings. Next-generation OnStar and MyLink enhancements including gesture recognition and natural language voice recognition, keep drivers connected whether out of necessity in an emergency or for entertainment.
